We arrived about an hour before closing and were warmly welcomed. Service was speedy and pleasant. We tried a variety of appetizers including the fresh rolls which were delicious! For mains I tried a curry - spicy - and it was just the right amount of heat. There are plenty of booths and tables for seating. I could see this being a nice place for a large family dining experience.

Great way to wrap up 2024. This place had the friendliest service with a moderate wait for food that was worthwhile. We started with the chicken satay, which was okay, but the accompanying cucumber salad was very fresh, perfectly crisp, tasty, and I would go back just for that. The Tom Yum soup with shrimp was very delicious, lemongrass-y, and served with a nice serving of rice. I ordered the beef pad woon sen and it was a hit with everyone that tried it; highly recommend! Although it was an older looking building on the outside, it's nice, bright, and clean on the inside. If you're not from around San Antonio, Castle Hills is a great little city within the city. Definitely worth the trip to this place!

Came here for lunch during the week based on positive reviews from Yelp & google. There are lots of great Thai spots spread around San Antonio! Add this one to your list. I asked the server to recommend to make her recommendation on her favorite curry. She did a great job! There is plenty of seating around to come with groups of people. I recommend this spot, tell your Thai food loving friends!

i got the pad thai and it was so good and hot(temperature) which i feel like is so special at resturants now a days. I got the spice level 2 and it wasnt too spicy but I could feel the heat for sure. Ive had a staple thai resturant for years now but this place give my usually one a close fight. it took them a while to sit us, but there was only a few people working so it was no big deal. when we sat the servers were very aware of us and came by many times to refill drinks and ask if we needed anything. I will be back for sure.

A hidden gym in San Antonio!!!! I got the pad khee mao (spice 3) and the thai fried rice w/o peas (spice 4) and although both were delicious, the fried rice stole the spotlight! It was cooked so well, had a perfect spice, and I love the tomatoes which I feel like isn't typically added. There's thai spots that are closer to me, but I'd definitely make the drive for this fried rice!!!!!

TOP TIER PAD WOON SEN. I've tried a few local Thai spots in the area and Flying Tiger has the BEST pad woon sen every time. If you're looking to try something new, let it be this. Promise you'll love it. Just real chill spot, they were pretty busy when we went but we got sat right away. Seems to be a community favorite. Try the Tom Ka soup for sure. Careful with that spice in the soup though, it can get real serious. You won't be disappointed checking them out.

Such a delicious experience! I've driven by Flying Tiger a couple of times and decided it was finally time to go. I was a little surprised when I walked in, thinking it was going to be an older restaurant due to the slightly outdated exterior, but I was wrong! Inside was completely renovated into a more contemporary atmosphere with fun pops of color through Asian motifs. They had chill indie music playing overhead and Edward Scissorhands on the tv since we're in the middle of spooky month. Our servers were so kind and sweet, and very attentive without being overbearing. We ordered a BUNCH, so I'll start with the appetizers. Prior to making our main lunch selection, we knew we wanted to try out the Shrimp Dumplings. They were delicious super soft bite sized morsels that had good shrimp flavor without tasting fishy. Though these were delicious on their own, the sweet sauce it came with brought everything together. Our lunch specials came with appetizers as well, so we chose the Crab Rangoons and Chicken Potstickers. The Crab Rangoons were also bite sized but packing in flavor with more of a cream cheese taste than crab itself. They had a crisp but soft exterior with a good dough to filling ratio. These too were excellent by themselves, but were just as delicious with the accompanying sweet and sour sauce as well. The Chicken Potstickers were the biggest of the appetizers and were fried, not steamed like the others. These also had a good dough to filling ratio, but had an extremely crunchy and satisfying crunch due to its fried nature. The filling was a hearty mix of chicken and veggies, and while the Potstickers were pretty good by themselves, their flavor was enhanced by the dipping sauce that was served with them. As for drinks, the Fresh-Squeezed Lemonade was some of the most delicious lemonade I've had. It was more sweet than sour and extremely refreshing. The Coke was simply canned Coke over ice. Nothing fancy. For our main course, we ordered the Shrimp Pad Thai and the Flying Tiger Chicken with Sesame Sauce. The spice level on some of the menu items can be customized, so I ordered my Pad Thai at a 2 out of 5 and it had just enough of a little kick to add to the overall flavor of the dish. I'm glad it did as this Pad Thai was a little plain on the flavor compared to others I've had but still very good. There was an ample amount of fried egg and veggies that didn't overpower the noodles but helped to enhance the dish. The Shrimp was a little disappointing however; they were very fishy in taste which I found surprising considering the Shrimp Dumplings did not have that issue. They were hefty and juicy Shrimps, but I left two of the six pieces behind when packing up the abundance of leftovers to go. The Flying Tiger Chicken was also really good, but instead of customizing its spice level you get to choose from the different sauces. The Sesame Sauce chosen this time around was thick and creamy and absolutely made the dish. It was so yummy that I'm curious how the two other sauce options will taste! The Chicken itself had the lightest and crispiest breading, but it could have been considered a little dry without the sauce. The White Rice it came with was super sticky, fluffy, and yummy, and held all of the leftover sauce well. Everything you could want in steamed rice. All the dishes we tried were amazing, but I think Flying Tiger truly excels at their appetizers. Another trip to this restaurant is definitely in my future so I can try more things, but I could easily see myself ordering a meal made exclusively of appetizers. Regardless, I think no matter what you order you'll be impressed! Next time you're craving Thai, give Flying Tiger a visit!

We arrived with very high expectations on a Saturday night. There are not many restaurants that maintain a five star Yelp rating. Our expectations were met. The hospitality and sincerity is a big plus to add to a very satisfying pad khi mao! Allana is so endearing and cute, I think she is the owner. She and her servers were so focused on guests. I have added this place to my Thai rotation, it definitely deserves five stars!
